2022 BUSINESS Performance Report

Although there are many challenges posed in 2022, Bao Long still maintained stability throughout the system, as well as quickly overcame difficulties to achieve remarkable results.

The year 2022 was a financial year that posed many challenges for Bao Long in particular and enterprises’ production and business activities in general across the market.

The macro-economy has not yet recovered from the pandemic. In addition, the conflict between Russia and Ukraine has caused a disruption in the global supply chain that continued to impact the macroeconomy. It leads to high inflation, capital costs, and the stagnation of capital flow in the economy due to problems related to the corporate bonds of large corporations.

The insurance market suffered many fluctuations in the last year. Revenue growth had reached the targeted growth before the pandemic, but the compensation had significantly increased. M&A activities and corporate restructuring have continued to take place strongly. The high global risks have led to a rise in reinsurance costs.

Particularly for Bao Long, the fluctuations in senior personnel in a short period of time along with the general difficulties of the market affected Bao Long's business activities in 2022.

In the challenging context, Bao Long still maintained stability throughout the system, and quickly overcome difficulties and challenges to achieve remarkable results.

BUSINESS SOLUTIONS IMPLEMENTATION RESULTS IN 2022

The distribution network of Bao Long includes traditional exploitation channels which are branches, agent system, and modern channels such as bancassurance, mobilassurance, online, etc. In 2022, most of Bao Long’s distribution channels performed positive results especially brokerage channels, online channels, and reinsurance channels.

In addition to promoting revenue growth, Bao Long strives to implement solutions to create long-term sustainable development, expanding and strengthening the banking network, continuing to cooperate agents with retail organizations; E-commerce platforms, e-wallets…

In order to fulfll the increasingly diverse needs of customers as well as to keep up with the development of the distribution channel system, Bao Long's product system has modernized and diversifed in 2022.

Existing products have all been improved to keep up with business realities such as Fire and Special Perils Insurance – business interruption, all-risks insurance - business interruption, theft insurance robbery, and mobile device insurance.

At the same time, Bao Long also launched many new products such as Fashion Insurance.

 

STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES For the period of 2023-2027

In the five-year strategic period from 2023-2027, Bao Long sets out three strategic priorities including:

Technologization

Utilizing and selecting new technology trends to create a breakthrough change in market position, operational efficiency and brand reputation among clients.

Operational capacity

Ensuring sustainable and efficient business operations that are resilient to a volatile and high-risk business environment.

Culture and brand name

Focusing on human-centered culture to build corporate culture, thereby building the image of "each individual is a brand ambassador", and each experience with client as a media story.
The 2023 year is the foundation year for implementing business solutions according to the mentioned priorities. The action plan will be deployed flexibly depending on each group of solutions to ensure the system's adaptability and in line with market developments.

THE 2023 OUTLOOK

In 2023, Bao Long plans a target of reaching a total premium of 1,680,000,000 VND, an increase of 4.4% compared to 2022.

Owners' equity increases by 9.7%, an estimate of 820,767 billion VND. Thereby, Total assets reach 2,591 billion VND for the first time, up 2.9%.
